In other nonconference games:
Grant 46, San Fernando 29--Lawrence Monroy and David Smith helped the Lancers (2-1) to a nonconference victory in Grant’s first visit to San Fernando High in 32 years.
Monroy completed 12 of 20 passes for 156 yards and three touchdowns. His 15-yard touchdown pass to tight end Augustine Schuster tied the score, 7-7, and triggered a 25-point second quarter for Grant.
Monroy also had a 20-yard scoring pass play to Joshua De Muro and a three-yard touchdown pass to Robert Mitchell to give Grant a 32-15 lead with 9:35 to play.
Smith had 146 yards and two touchdowns in 19 carries, including 30- and 50-yard scoring runs in the fourth quarter.
Terrell Stanley of San Fernando (2-1) had seven receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown. Stanley caught a 20-yard touchdown pass and ran 15 yards for a touchdown on 15-yard reverse.
San Fernando’s Sean Atkins completed 10 of 19 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed for 30 yards in 12 carries.
