* Arcadia Invitational, 4 p.m. Saturday: This 31st annual event is considered one of the premier invitationals in the nation. Last year’s meet provided 18 nation-leading prep marks. Orange County’s brightest hopes is Mission Viejo’s Mark Gleason, who hopes to run 4:14 or better in the 1,600. His main competition will be Jon Stevens of Fremont Mission San Jose, the nation’s top returning miler at 4:10.08. In the girls’ 3,200, University’s Allyson Marquand is one of three of runners in the event rated in the top 10 in the nation. Another athlete to watch is Mission Viejo’s Ashley Bethel in the 100 hurdles. But Bethel is coming off a leg injury suffered early in the season, and hasn’t run the event since a dual meet with El Toro in the first week.
