Schools Chief to Hold Community Meeting

The superintendent of the Culver City Unified School District will hold an informal meeting for parents and community members Wednesday, officials said.

Supt. Laura Plasse said she organized the so-called “chat room” meeting to discuss issues in the school district in a less formal setting than school board meetings.

Plasse and assistant superintendents will discuss Measure T construction projects--the bulk of which will begin this summer--personnel, curriculum and other issues.

The meeting will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the board room of the district’s administration building, 4034 Irving Place.

Plasse has held “chat rooms” for teachers and staff, and may schedule more meetings with parents and community members, she said.
