Former major league pitcher Scott McGregor had one of the best high school careers in Southern Section history at El Segundo High in 1969-72. He holds records for victories (51), shutouts (20), shutouts in a season (nine) and consecutive shutouts (six). He is also one of 11 players to pitch consecutive no-hitters.
