Teitelboin, Fonvergne Help L.A. to Rout

Filipe Teitelboin of Grant High and Mike Fonvergne of Taft each had three hits and the Los Angeles 15- and 16-year-old baseball team defeated San Francisco, 10-0, in the Maccabi youth games in Detroit on Tuesday.

Mike Marble pitched a four-hitter and Mark Soulema had a home run in an 11-1 victory over Philadelphia on Monday.

Steve Moss of Sherman Oaks hit three home runs on Monday and the L.A. 13- and 14-year-old team beat Atlanta, 9-1. On Tuesday, Moss hit his fourth home run in a 10-9 victory over Baltimore.

Justin Segal of Calabasas and Adam Weg of Encino hit two home runs each in Los Angeles’ 27-0 victory over Detroit.

In girls’ basketball, Aliza Richman scored 14 points in a 59-25 victory over Samuel Fields, N.Y.

Itzik Rapaport of Canoga Park scored two goals in a 3-0 soccer victory for Los Angeles over Mid-Westchester.
