Camarillo 74, Notre Dame 66--Jay Williamson scored 27 points, including five three-pointers, to help the Scorpions advance to the semifinals of the Simi Valley tournament.

Notre Dame (1-1) couldn’t handle the Scorpions’ inside play of 6-5 Kyle Lassiter, who scored 16 points, and 6-6 Gary Bryce, who had nine points.

Chris Williams of Notre Dame finished with 26 points and 11 rebounds.

Camarillo (2-0) led, 38-37, at halftime and broke away to take a 12-point lead in the third quarter.

Notre Dame got as close as three points in the fourth quarter behind Dante Ward, who scored 17 points, including five three-pointers.

Simi Valley 88, South Gate 56--Rafael Berumen scored 27 points and Shaun Michel had 17 assists--one shy of the school record--for the Pioneers (2-0) in a quarterfinal victory at the Simi Valley tournament.

Grant 73, Pasadena Marshall 66--Gilbert Arenas scored 39 points, making 13 of 21 shots, and the Lancers (2-0) advanced to the Simi Valley semifinals, where it plays the hosts at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Deverion Mackey scored 23 points for Pasadena Marshall, including five three-pointers.

Kennedy 85, Van Nuys 68--Vincent Hamilton scored 19 points and Jazeer Webster had 13 for the Golden Cougars in a nonleague victory at Kennedy.

Abe Morabbi scored 30 points for Van Nuys.

Calabasas 79, Alemany 73--Michael Goldman made 11 of 18 shots, including three three-pointers, and had 25 points, 11 assists and five steals for the Coyotes in a first-round victory in the Saugus tournament.

Spencer Hariton scored 15 points and Kevin Qizenberry had 12 points and 12 steals for Calabasas (1-0).

Buena 68, Beverly Hills 47--Peter Brown had 21 points and 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs (2-0) in a Loyola tournament victory.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Washington 70, North Hollywood 67--Shaneel Law scored eight of her 25 points for Washington (4-0) during a 15-2 run in the final four minutes of the Washington tournament championship.

Markia Derby had 23 points and 11 rebounds for North Hollywood (3-1).

Cleveland 51, Marshall 50--Linda Malone’s follow shot at the buzzer gave the Cavaliers a second-round victory in the Eagle Rock tournament.

Jessica Cosby of Cleveland (2-0) had 22 points, 10 steals and nine rebounds.
