Temple’s Greer Likely Out for Season

Lynn Greer, Temple’s top outside shooter, had surgery on a broken bone under his left eye and might sit out the rest of the season.

Greer was injured in the 10th-ranked Owls’ 65-64 loss to Penn State Tuesday night. Doctors said the best-case scenario for Greer’s return was two months. If that’s the case, Temple will ask the NCAA for a medical waiver after the season so this year doesn’t count against Greer’s eligibility.
