In other girls’ Southern Section second-round games:

Peninsula 3, Quartz Hill 0--The second-seeded Panthers (24-1-2) routed the Rebels (17-5-2) in a Division I game at Quartz Hill.

Hart 4, Jurupa Vally 0--Kellie Nordhagen had a goal and an assist, and the fourth-seeded Indians (21-2-3) coasted to a Division I victory at Hart.

Mandy Stupar, Erin Misaki, Katie McKeon and Mandy Mansfield also scored for Hart.

Mater Dei 4, Westlake 1--The Warriors (18-4-2) yielded three goals to the Monarchs (16-3-3) in the second half of a Division II game at Westlake.

Jenna Wirtz scored for Westlake and Erinn Goletz scored twice for Mater Dei.

Oak Park 4, La Reina 2--Rebecca Carroll scored her 28th and 29th goals in the first half, and Jenny Goldstein and Jessica Gaball scored in the second for the Eagles (12-8-2) in a Division IV game at Oak Park.

Rebecca Miller and Maria Bueschen scored for La Reina (16-6), which trailed, 2-1, at halftime.

Paraclete 3, Marymount 1--Lisa Ament scored in the first half and Tiffany Forrest scored twice in the second for the Spirits (18-2-1) in a Division IV game at Paraclete.

In Southern Section second-round boys’ games:

San Marcos 2, Rio Mesa 1--Jacob Beck tied the score in the 60th minute but Rio Mesa (15-7-4) fell in a shootout after 40 minutes of scoreless overtime in a Division II game at Rio Mesa.

San Marcos won the shootout, 3-1.

Burroughs 2, Culver City 1--Miguel Meneses and Gary Guenther scored for Burroughs (16-4-5) in a Division III game at Culver City.

In a City Section first-round girls’ game:

Poly 2, Narbonne 1--Jessica Sierra’s two goals helped the 10th-seeded Parrots upend the seventh-seeded Gauchos in a 3-A Division game at Narbonne.
