Villa Park Routs No. 10 Foothill in Girls’ Water Polo

Camie French, Danee French and Kristyn Pulver each scored three goals to lead sixth-ranked Villa Park to an 11-2 victory over No. 10 Foothill in a Century League girls’ water polo match Tuesday at Villa Park.

Villa Park (17-4, 2-0) scored eight consecutive goals and shut out Foothill over the final two quarters.

Jamie Belcore had nine saves for Foothill (11-7, 2-1).

In another Century League girls’ water polo game:

El Modena 12, Orange 1--El Modena (12-9) scored four goals in both the second and third quarters. Gabby Garcia had two goals, three assists and two steals. Molly Sparks, Heather Lemke and Missy Garrison also scored twice for the Vanguards.

In nonleague girls’ water polo:

Brea Olinda 19, Santa Ana Valley 4--Libby Greenhill scored seven goals for Brea Olinda (6-8).

Edison 10, Trabuco Hills 4--Maura Haynes scored four goals and goalkeeper Kellee Keller had 10 saves for Edison (11-5).

In Academy League boys’ soccer:

Fairmont 2, Southern California Christian 1--Richard Agnew and Jonathan Ha each scored second-half goals to give Fairmont (3-2, 3-1) a 2-0 lead.

St. Margaret’s 5, Capistrano Valley Christian 0--Goals by Lucas Nagy, Jimmy Freeman and Alex Perin gave St. Margaret’s a 3-0 lead after the first half. Perin and Jeremiah Gallegos also scored in the second half for the Tartans.

Capistrano Valley Christian lost its first league game. St. Margaret’s remained undefeated.

In Olympic League boys’ soccer:

Orange Lutheran 3, Calvary Chapel 1--Freshman John Talmage scored two goals, giving him 13 this season for Orange Lutheran (15-1-2, 5-0), ranked No. 1 in Division V. Tim Metzger’s scored midway through the first half for Calvary Chapel (8-4-2, 2-2-1), cutting the lead to 2-1.
