Stauffer Pitches No-Hitter for Agoura

Tyler Stauffer pitched a no-hitter with nine strikeouts and four walks Thursday and Agoura routed Kingman, Ariz., 14-0, in the Camarillo tournament.

Stauffer, a junior right-hander, allowed only one ball to be hit out of the infield at Camarillo High.

Brian Jacobsen of Agoura had two hits and four runs batted in and Nick Hillman had three hits and four RBIs.

In other Camarillo tournament games:

Conejo 6, Pomona 5--Ian Corso’s bases-loaded single in the bottom of the seventh inning drove in the tying and winning runs.

Conejo (12-8) loaded the bases on an error, a walk and a bunt single.

Brent Schilhab (1-0), normally the team’s reserve catcher, pitched four innings of relief, allowing four runs and seven hits.

Ojai 17, Agoura 8--Matt Alonzo’s first-inning grand slam set the tone and Ojai downed Agoura (13-8).

Matt Bernstein had three hits and three RBIs for Agoura and Tommy Ong added three hits and two RBIs.

Studio City Sylmar 7, Van Nuys Birmingham 1--Fidel Espinoza (1-2) pitched a four-hitter with 13 strikeouts for Studio City Sylmar (4-11) in a District 20 game.

Granada Hills 2, North Hollywood Poly 1--Jon Bringuier had two hits, including a triple, and pitched three innings of one-hit relief for Granada Hills (9-8) in a District 20 game at Poly High.

Encino Crespi 11, Calabasas 6--Matt Wilson had three doubles and four RBIs for Encino Crespi (14-4) in a District 20 game at Valley College.

Lancaster 10, Quartz Hill 6--Zach Dominguez drove in the go-ahead run in the fifth for Lancaster (12-7) in a District 20 game at Lancaster High.
