Triple-A--Outfielder Jacob Cruz (Channel Islands High) had two hits and drove in two runs for Fresno and is batting .299. . . . Infielder Adam Kennedy (Cal State Northridge) had two doubles and a single, drove in two runs and scored two for Memphis. Kennedy’s teammate, first baseman Nate Dishington (Hoover), hit a two-run home run. The home run was Dishington’s second in 60 at-bats since being promoted from double-A Arkansas. He is batting .317. . . . Mike Rossiter (Burroughs) pitched two scoreless innings of relief for Las Vegas, striking out four and allowing one hit.
Double-A--Outfielder Gabe Kapler (Taft, Moorpark College) had three hits and catcher Robert Fick had two hits in Jacksonville’s 6-0 victory over Carolina. Kapler’s double was his 25th and he batting .298. Fick’s double was his league-leading 31st and he is batting .320. Kapler drove in a run and leads the league with 97. . . . Second baseman David Newhan (Pepperdine) had three hits and outfielder Gary Mathews Jr. (Granada Hills, Mission College) had two hits in Mobile’s 8-4 victory over Orlando.
Class-A--Catcher Jesse Daggett (Crescenta Valley, College of the Canyons) hit his second home run for Erie. . . . Outfielder Jorge Piedra (Notre Dame) had two hits for Great Falls and is batting .427. . . . Shortstop Junior Brignac (Cleveland) had three hits and first baseman Casey Cheshier (Highland, CS Northridge) hit a triple for Eugene.
