50 freestyle: Leslie Christiansen, Irvine Fr.
Time: 24.19. Christiansen held the top time in the county until Jones knocked her off.
100 freestyle: Jessica Hayes, University Fr.
Time: 51.41. Hayes made the difference in many of University’s relay finishes.
200 freestyle: Ari Gardner, San Clemente Jr.
Time: 1:51.86. Strong all season, she had the second-fastest time in the county.
500 freestyle: Shauna Barnard, Laguna Hills So.
Time: 4:54.20. She was Swimmer of the Meet at Division II finals.
100 backstroke: Jessica Hayes, University Fr.
Time: 57.82. Versatile in all of the strokes, Hayes turned in the county’s second-fastest time.
100 breaststroke: Jessamyn Miller, Mater Dei Sr.
Time: 1:04.58. An injured shoulder prevented her from giving Beard a race at Division I finals.
100 butterfly: Kyoko Yokouchi, Marina So.
Time: 57.35. Although the backstroke is her stroke, she’s also a great flyer.
200 individual medley: Amanda Beard, Irvine Jr.
Time: 2:03.51. Took third at Division I finals and first at Sea View League finals.
200 freestyle relay: San Clemente
Time: 1:38.84. Sarah Jones (Fr.), Stephanie Chambers (Fr.), Mercedes Evans (Jr.) and Ari Gardner (Jr.). Gave the Irvine relay team a challenge at Division I finals.
400 freestyle relay: Laguna Hills
Time: 3:34.69. Lindsey Buck (Fr.), Leilani Fitzgerald (Jr.), Morgan Class (Jr.) and Shauna Barnard (So.). Held off a fast-charging University to win Division II.
200 medley relay: Laguna Hills
Time: 1:50.64. Shauna Barnard (So.), Carla Rodriguez (Sr.), Lindsey Buck (Fr.) and Morgan Class (Jr.). Just shy of breaking Division II record.
Diving: Michelle Brown, Dana Hills So.
Score: 524.40. Challenged Kristen Marquis for Division I title. Finished second.
