St. Bernard, the defending IV-AA champion, will try to run Calvary Chapel off the floor with its intense full-court pressure. To Calvary Chapel’s advantage is the larger court. The pressure will be on Cathy Joens (14.2 points, 4.9 assists) and Christy Ring (14.4 points, 48.9% from the three-point arc) to take care of the ball. St. Bernard has eight players back from last year’s team. The Vikings are led by sophomore point guard Shannon Howell (17 points) and Oregon-bound Ndidi Unaka (11 points, 8.5 rebounds), a 6-0 forward.
