* Foothill at Canyon, 3 p.m. Friday: Canyon (5-0), which has won two consecutive Southern Section championships, took over the county’s top ranking from Santa Margarita after winning the Loara tournament Saturday. Eighth-ranked Foothill (3-1) is expected to challenge Canyon for the Century League title.

* Marina at Fountain Valley, 3 p.m. Friday: Despite losing the Loara tournament title game to Canyon, 4-1, fourth-ranked Fountain Valley (4-1) is off to a fast start in search of its third Sunset League title in the last four years. Marina (2-2) has struggled against Fountain Valley in recent seasons, losing five of the past six meetings.
