No. 7 Fountain Valley 3, North Hollywood Harvard-Westlake 1--Brad Keenan had 26 kills and four aces, and Chris Anderson had 14 digs for Fountain Valley (2-2), which won, 15-5, 15-12, 12-15, 15-11. Harvard-Westlake is ranked sixth in Division I.

Los Alamitos 3, Ocean View 1--Matt Komer had 45 kills for Los Alamitos (7-1), which won, 15-5, 15-9, 13-15, 16-14. Ocean View is 5-2.

In the Empire League:

Kennedy 3, Brea Olinda 0--Rupesh Bhakta had 14 kills for Kennedy (6-1, 2-1), which won, 15-6, 15-13, 15-8. Kirk Reimer had 13 blocks for Brea Olinda (0-7, 0-3).

Valencia 3, Cypress 0--Jeff Ginter had 11 kills for host Valencia (7-2, 2-1), which won, 15-6, 15-13, 15-8. Cypress is 3-2, 1-2.

In the Garden Grove League:

Bolsa Grande 3, Rancho Alamitos 0--David Nguyen had 14 kills for Bolsa Grande (5-3, 2-1), which won, 15-13, 15-10, 16-14.

Los Amigos 3, Pacifica 2--Tony Tran had 19 kills as Los Amigos (6-1, 3-0) defeated Pacifica, 9-15, 15-13, 15-11, 9-15, 15-12.

In Century League boys’ swimming:

No. 4 Villa Park 129, Canyon 41--Jared Jones won the 200 freestyle (1:58.21) and the 100 backstroke (1:01.05) for Villa Park (4-1, 1-0). Teammate Chris Koontz also was a double winner, placing first in the 50 freestyle (23.15) and the 100 breaststroke (1:08.16).

In Sea View League boys’ swimming:

No. 6 Corona del Mar 97, No. 3 Santa Margarita 73--Kawika Tarayao won the only two individual events for Corona del Mar. He finished first in the 200 individual medley (2:00.11) and 100 backstroke (54.85) and also swam on the winning 200 freestyle relay for the Sea Kings. Alex Tomescu, Edmund Herlihy and Jonathan Russell each won two events for the Eagles.

In Century League girls’ swimming:

Foothill 104, Orange 64--Kirsten Kamps won the 500 freestyle in 5:14.27 for Foothill (2-1, 1-0).

In Century League girls’ swimming:

No. 6 Villa Park 109, Canyon 61--Cindy Henn won the 100 backstroke in 1:04.72 for Villa Park (4-1, 1-0). Lauren Volcan won the 100 freestyle (55.49) and the 50 freestyle (25.53) for Canyon (3-1, 0-1).

In Empire League girls’ swimming:

Katella 100, Cypress 69--Katie Ishihara won the 100 butterfly (1:04.85) and the 100 breaststroke (1:20.53) for Katella (3-1, 1-0). Ishihara also was part of the winning 200 medley relay (2:07.15) and 400 freestyle relay (4:23.34).
