Mater Dei, Senior/Volleyball/Outside Hitter
One of the county’s most consistent go-to hitters, the 5-foot-9 Beauregard also is playing tough defense. She had nine digs to go along with her team-high 13 kills Tuesday as the Monarchs beat previously undefeated Capistrano Valley, putting the schools in a tie for first place in the South Coast League.

* Mission Viejo, sophomore. Broke the Laguna Niguel Park three-mile course record with a run of 18 minutes 57 seconds.
Taylor Gavin/Cross-Country
* Orange Lutheran, junior. Set a course and school record of 15:43 for the unbeaten Lancers at Arcadia Park.
