Sana Ana Men Clinch Fifth Title in Row

Santa Ana clinched its fifth consecutive conference title by beating Orange Coast, 7-1, in Orange Empire Conference men’s soccer Tuesday.
Tomas Serna scored two goals, giving him a team-high 29 for the season. Alex Garcia also had two goals for the Dons (18-1-3, 10-0-2).
In another conference game:
Cypress 1, Fullerton 1--Brian Armijo scored in the 62nd minute to give Cypress the lead. Kenny Takaki tied the score 10 minutes later. Robert Ornelas made 13 saves for Cypress (0-10-2, 3-14-2). Mike Clines and Orlando Palmer combined for six saves to lead Fullerton (7-3-2, 12-5-4).
In Orange Empire women’s soccer:
Golden West 0, Riverside 0--Lynsey Salsbury had eight saves in the shutout for Golden West (8-9-3, 3-6-3), which finished one point ahead of Riverside (7-11-3, 3-7-2) for fourth place in conference.
Orange Coast 9, Santa Ana 0--Taylor Yurada scored three goals to bring her season total to 24, an Orange Coast record for goals in a season. Yurada finished with a conference-high 56 points, four ahead of Cypress’ Jane Specht.
