UC Irvine 63, Cal State Stanislaus 52--The Division I Anteaters played well in spurts, including a 13-0 run midway through the first half, en route to the victory over Division II Stanislaus before 1,402 at Irvine.

Marek Ondera, a 6-foot-6 transfer from MiraCosta College who finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds, and walk-on Brian Scoggin triggered the big run for Irvine (1-1).

Stanislaus (2-3) never got closer than eight points in the second half.
