Books and the Beach Team at Fund-Raiser

The Friends of the Library Foundation is sponsoring the second annual Books by the Beach fair and writers forum Saturday and Sunday at the Festival of the Arts grounds in Laguna Beach from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The foundation is a collection of local support groups that raises money for Orange County’s 27 public libraries. Proceeds generated this weekend will be used to buy books and pay for library programs.
The fair offers plenty of entertainment. For children, storytelling is among the activities. Adults will find booths featuring used and rare books, coffee-table books, old maps, magazines and more. Many authors will be on hand.
Volunteers are needed to run the Rancho Santa Margarita Library’s booth.
