Burbank 21, Murphy 0--Alan Gutierrez rushed for 87 yards and one touchdown in 18 carries to give Coach Wally Luetje a victory in his Burbank debut at Burroughs High.
Gutierrez scored on a one-yard run to give the Bulldogs a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. Burbank scored in the second quarter when linebacker Angelo Dahlia recovered a fumble by quarterback James Heim in the end zone.
Wide receiver Jimmy Robles caught two passes, including a 62-yard touchdown from Cliff Lohner in the third quarter. Lohner passed for 75 yards.
