Grant 26, Verdugo Hills 0--Brothers Duriel and Matthew Carter combined for 220 yards rushing and the Lancers romped at Verdugo Hills.
Duriel Carter gained 121 yards and scored one touchdown in 14 carries. Matthew Carter rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown and scored on an interception return.
Matthew Carter broke a scoreless tie with a 49-yard run with 5:48 to play in the first half.
Duriel Carter stretched the lead to 14-0 with a 13-yard scoring run in the third quarter, four plays after Grant recovered a fumble.
Matthew Carter intercepted the first pass by backup quarterback Jason Dupras of Verdugo Hills and returned it 63 yards for a score in the fourth quarter.
Robert Mitchell took a reverse from Duriel Carter and ran 57 yards for a score with 1:56 to play.
Henry Davis had 64 yards rushing in 19 carries for Verdugo Hills.
Verdugo Hills has lost 12 consecutive games, dating to a second-round playoff defeat in 1996.
