Cathedral 45, Flintridge Prep 20--J.P. Blecksmith’s two touchdown passes and 256 yards of total offense were not enough for Flintridge Prep fell at Cathedral.

Trailing, 18-0, late in the first half, Blecksmith put the Rebels on the board, connecting with Peter Twist on a 41-yard pass.

Flintridge Prep linebacker Ross Fippinger intercepted a pass midway through the third quarter and returned it 72 yards for a touchdown to pull the Rebels to within 25-14.

Robert DeLaCruz of Cathedral completed 22 of 36 passes for 399 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for two other touchdowns.
