* Santa Margarita 34, Carlsbad 27
Greg Orlando passed for 263 yards and two touchdowns and Mike O’Gorman caught eight passes for 172 yards and a touchdown for Santa Margarita (2-0).

* San Pedro 42, Hamilton 6
Chris Benjamin scored on runs of 96 and one yards and Chris Herrell returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown to lead San Pedro (2-0) at Daniels Field.
* Locke 31, Fremont 0
Alvin Marshall gained 256 yards in 19 carries and scored on runs of 34, 65 and 10 yards to lead Locke (1-1) in a Southeastern Conference game at Fremont.
* Roosevelt 40, Jordan 14
Manuel Esperanza rushed for 215 yards and three touchdowns and Jose Gonzalez gained 105 yards and scored twice for Roosevelt (2-0) at Jordan.
* Wilson 36, Poly 8
Steve Yanez completed 11 of 19 passes for 213 yards and touchdowns of 23, 11 and six yards for the Mules (1-1) in a nonconference game at Wilson.
* Taft 38, Crenshaw 22
Lawrence Wallace caught seven passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns and also intercepted three passes for Taft (2-0).
* Venice 48, Hollywood 12
J.P. Losman completed 18 of 24 passes for 209 yards and four touchdowns to lead Venice (2-0) in a nonconference game at Venice.

* Bishop Amat 38, Muir 0
Mike Wagner gained 169 yards in 19 carries and scored three touchdowns for the Lancers (2-0) at Muir.
* Mater Dei 30, St. John Bosco 13
Junior Palacios gained 138 yards and scored two touchdowns for Mater Dei (2-0), which will try to end Concord De La Salle’s 78-game win streak next week.
* Esperanza 44, Rancho Alamitos 6
Grant Wagner of Esperanza (2-0) completed eight of 11 passes for 171 yards and three touchdowns, two to tight end Bo Ashabraner.
* Fontana 34, Servite 19
Marquis Starks of Fontana (2-0) gained 257 yards in 33 carries and scored four touchdowns for the Steelers at Cal State Fullerton.
* El Monte 18, Sierra Vista 12
Steve Gaona of El Monte (2-0) gained 151 yards in 17 carries and scored all of the Lions’ points on two rushing touchdowns, a field goal and an extra point.
* Rowland 21, Montebello 6
Todd Ball gained 154 yards in 20 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead Rowland (2-0) in a nonleague game at Rowland.
* Bell Gardens 7, El Rancho 0
Moises Caro caught three passes for 103 yards, including a 69-yard touchdown reception for Bell Gardens (2-0) at El Rancho.
