El Camino 57, Fullerton 37--El Camino took the lead for good on Delvon Flowers’ 18-yard touchdown run with 2:15 left in the first quarter. Flowers gained 143 yards in 13 carries for El Camino (2-0), ranked fifth in the state.
Long Beach 75, Golden West 7--Former Los Alamitos quarterback Sean Stein threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns to lead host Long Beach. Stein twice connected on touchdown passes of 28 yards, threw a one-yard touchdown pass and scored on a six-yard run in the first quarter.
Mt. San Antonio 42, Santa Ana 15--The Mounties’ defense and special teams staked them to an early lead and the Mt. San Antonio offense took over from there. The Dons are 0-2.
