Matt Terry, Servite’s career goal leader, said he has signed to play soccer at Cal State Fullerton.

Terry earned Times Orange County first-team honors last season after scoring 24 goals, giving him 53 for his prep career. Terry, who was also named the Golden West League’s offensive player of the year, said he chose the Titans over St. Mary’s and UC Irvine.

Joni Colburn, formerly Joni Easterly, said she has rejoined the girls’ basketball coaching staff at Irvine High School.

Colburn will be a co-coach with her former assistant, Dennis Hurley, who also assisted Diane Vaughn last season. The Vaqueros were 16-11, 5-5 in the Sea View League.

Colburn coached Irvine to a 16-9, 7-3 record in 1997-98 after taking over a team that had been 10-14, 2-8. She quit at the end of the season to have a child.

Los Alamitos’ Andrew Pleick, a 6-4 guard, signed to play basketball at Drake in Des Moines, Iowa, a family spokesman said.

Pleick, a native of Sweden, was a Times Orange County first-team selection and the Sunset League’s most valuable player. He averaged 15.3 points, 8.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists.

Pleick first committed to Davidson, but last month he said that those plans had fallen through.

Pacifica’s Kristin Key has signed to play volleyball at Cal State Dominguez Hills, Toro Coach Henry Chen announced. Key, a 6-0 middle blocker, earned first-team All-Garden Grove League honors last season as the Mariners won the league championship.
