Harvard-Westlake 2, Louisville 1--Elena Ferrero and Anna Russell scored unearned runs in the eighth inning in a Mission League opener at Louisville.

Ferrero pitched a two-hitter with 17 strikeouts.

Andrea DeLuna scored for Louisville (4-6) on an error.

Harvard-Westlake is 6-8.

Chaminade 2, Notre Dame 0--Maureen LeCocq gave up three hits and struck out 10 for Chaminade (7-6-1, 1-0) in a Mission League game at Notre Dame (6-4, 0-1).

Reiss had three RBIs and her sister, Meghann, had a two-run double.

Heidi Hucthausen hit a two-out, run-scoring single in the fourth.

El Camino Real 10, Birmingham 0--Stephani Frasco (5-0) and Melissa Coogan combined on a no-hitter in a West Valley League game at Birmingham called after five innings because of the 10-run rule.

Cara Blumfield knocked in three runs for El Camino Real (11-2, 4-0), ranked No. 10.

San Fernando 2, Granada Hills 1--Michelle Raigoza (8-2) scattered four hits, struck out seven and scored the winning run in the eighth inning in a North Valley League game at Granada Hills.

San Fernando is 12-2, 3-0.
