Golden West Seeks No. 5
Golden West, which has won four consecutive state men’s volleyball titles, opens play in the state tournament at 6 tonight against Grossmont in one semifinal match at Long Beach College.
The Rustlers (15-1) have twice defeated Grossmont (14-3) in Orange Empire Conference play.
Los Angeles Pierce (12-4) will meet Santa Barbara (10-7) in the other semifinal, which starts 30 minutes after Golden West’s match ends.
The title match is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Long Beach.
