Santa Ana, Loara and Laguna Hills will be the host schools for the Southern Section Division II, III, and IV wrestling team championships this Saturday.

Santa Ana, the Golden West League champion and undefeated in dual meets this season (9-0), is one of six county teams competing in Division II. Also wrestling are Irvine, Saddleback, Dana Hills, San Clemente and El Toro.

County teams joining Loara in Division III are Marina, Katella and Esperanza. Santiago is the only county team besides Laguna Hills in Division IV. Sunny Hills and Troy are the county entrants in Division V.

Defending state champion Calvary Chapel had the opportunity to host the Division I championship. But Athletic Director Joe Walters said section officials require the host school to have a facility large enough to have four matches going on at once. “We can only have one match [at a time] in our gym, and were unable to get another facility,” Walters said.

Instead the Division I championships will be hosted by Temecula Valley.

Besides Calvary Chapel, Brea Olinda, El Modena, Villa Park, Orange Lutheran and Magnolia are in Division I.

Each division has 16 teams entered. First-round matches start at 10 a.m.
