Santa Margarita wide receiver Mike O’Gorman has committed to attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, according to his father, Andy.

O’Gorman was the county’s third-leading receiver with 61 receptions for 1,144 yards. He averaged 18.8 yards per catch and scored 12 touchdowns.

An All-Southern Section second-team selection and first-team choice in Division VI, O’Gorman chose Cal Poly in part because he will also be allowed to play baseball.

Sports talk show host Lee Hamilton of XTRA 690 will speak at the monthly Sports Newsmakers Luncheon Tuesday at the Arrowhead Pond.

The luncheon, which begins at noon, is open to the public but reservations are suggested. Cost is $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Reservations can be made by calling (714) 758-0222.

More than 52 teams are competing this weekend in the state high school roller hockey tournament at Inline Sports Center in Corona. Roller hockey is not sanctioned by the Southern Section and operates as a club sport.

Orange County teams are from Canyon, Esperanza, Marina, Mission Viejo and Servite. Games are scheduled from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. today and from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free, and the center is located at 4325 Prado Road.
