Four players from the junior varsity team moved up for the playoffs, including freshman Jamaar Sloan (10 points). Junior Ellis Myles scored 23 points and had 19 rebounds for Compton (16-8), which advanced to play Newport Harbor.

Solomon Brown scored 21 points for host Savanna (17-10).

Newport Harbor 60, Riverside Ramona 55--Dustin Illingworth had a game-high 24 points for host Newport Harbor (23-5).

Sonora 78, El Dorado 57--Curtis Levine scored 23 points and Quinn Hawking had 17 points for host Sonora (22-6), which advanced to play Cathedral City.

Tustin 70, Perris 69--Deangelo Collins had 23 points and 20 rebounds for Tustin (14-13), which advanced to play Cerritos Gahr.

Buena Park 60, West Torrance 51--DeAndre Gipson scored 16 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter for visiting Buena Park (20-7).
