Canyons 8, Moorpark 7--Travis Richardson’s two-out, two-run home run in the ninth inning capped a four-run rally for host Canyons in a nonconference game.

Sergio Franco’s two-run single for Canyons (5-9), also with two out, set up Richardson’s first home run of the season. Franco had three hits and five runs batted in.

Ed Castellanos had three hits, including a double, for the Raiders (10-5).

Antelope Valley 7, Riverside 5--Kristi DiMarco’s two-run triple with two outs in the ninth inning broke a 5-5 tie in a nonconference game at Riverside.

DiMarco had three hits and four RBIs. Mikki Goldwater (6-2) went the distance for Antelope Valley (7-3). She allowed 11 hits, struck out two and walked two.
