GIRLS’ SOCCER PLAYOFF ROUNDUP

In another Division II game:

Manhattan Beach Mira Costa 2, Mater Dei 2 (Mira Costa advances in shootout)--Mira Costa was five for five in the shootout. Mater Dei missed twice and lost, 5-3.

In Division III:

Laguna Hills 1, Pacifica 0 (sudden death)--April Peron scored five minutes into the second sudden-death period on a cross from Megan Griffith. Jamie Lautenschlager made six saves for her 16th shutout for Laguna Hills (23-2-3), which advances to play Santa Margarita.

Santa Margarita 1, South Torrance 0 (sudden death)--Santa Margarita’s Erica Perrotta scored with one minute remaining in sudden death. Perrotta made the goal off a header by Erin Egertson.

Valencia 4, Paso Robles 1--Senior Alejandra Nunez scored three goals, all in the first half, for host Valenica (23-4). Nunez was assisted by Angelique Quintana on her first goal, Katie Atherton, on her second and Lauren Jacobs on her third. Atherton scored Valencia’s fourth goal in the second half and Ashley Nielson had four saves in goal. Valencia will play Glendora St. Lucy’s in the semifinals on Tuesday.

In Division IV:

Torrance Bishop Montgomery 3, Rosary 1--Priscilla Fellner, Courtney Mosely and Maggie Kirchoff scored for Bishop Montgomery and Tymarie Novak scored for Rosary (17-6-2) with an assist from Katie Lennon.

In Division V:

Orange Lutheran 3, Pasadena Westridge 2--Senior Molly Slane headed the game winner for Orange Lutheran (19-5-4) with less that minute to play in the game. The shot was off a corner kick by Krista Convoy in front of the Westridge net. Orange Lutheran will play Calvary Chapel in the semifinals.

Calvary Chapel 1, L.A. Brentwood 0 (3OT)--Freshman Natalie Gay scored for Calvary Chapel (11-7-6) with 2 minutes left in the third overtime period. Gay’s goal came off an assist from freshman Brittany Mills.
