GIRLS’ SOCCER ROUNDUP

In the Garden Grove League:

Garden Grove 2, Los Amigos 0--Junior Katie Favello scored in each half. Carrie Yolk had one save for the shutout. Garden Grove is 4-4, 1-0 in league.

Pacifica 9, Bolsa Grande 1--Tammi Fipps and Rachel Peterson each scored twice for Pacifica (9-1-4, 1-0). Host Bolsa Grande is 0-1 in league.

In nonleague girls’ soccer:

Brea Olinda 1, Canyon 0--Tiffany Scott scored with 20 minutes remaining in the second half for host Brea Olinda (7-3-2). Canyon is 6-4-3.

Century 2, Savanna 0--Esther Aceves scored both goals and Lupe Martinez earned her second shutout with four saves for Century (7-6).

Corona del Mar 3, Fountain Valley 0--Britta Vogle had four saves for the shutout. Vogle has given up two goals the entire season, both on penalty kicks. Molly O’Meara, Alison Harvery and Alison Brawner scored for Corona del Mar (8-0).

La Habra 4, Western 1--Candice Galvan opened scoring for La Habra (4-3-3), as the Highlanders took a 2-0 halftime lead.

Loara 4, Buena Park 2--Loara’s Lauren Lappin and Ana Medina scored their 14th goals of the season. Buena Park goalkeeper Olivia Kennedy made 12 saves.
