Volleyball Player to Transfer to UCI

Erika Denison, a volleyball player from the University of Houston, will transfer to UC Irvine.

Denison, a 6-foot-1 middle blocker, graduated from Westlake Village Westlake High School in 1998. She was a second-team All-Southern Section Division II pick as a senior.

Denison will enroll this fall and be eligible immediately.

* Megan Nugent, a 5-foot-11 freshman forward, has left the UCI women’s basketball team. Nugent returned to her parents’ home in Boulder, Colo. She had not played this season because of tendinitis in her right knee.
