Newbury Park 3, Royal 1--Cause Hanna headed in the winning goal on a pass from John Krupansky 10 minutes after halftime and the Panthers (8-4-3, 3-0-1) moved into first place in the Marmonte League with a victory at Newbury Park.

Sylmar 2, Grant 2--Jose Carcamo scored in the final minute on an assist by Ismael Jimenez to lift Sylmar (0-4-1, 0-4-1) into a Valley Pac-8 Conference tie at Grant.

Poly 5, North Hollywood 0--Miguel Luquin, normally a sweeper, got his wish to play forward and scored his second and third goals, helping the Parrots (2-1-2, 2-1-2) to a Valley Pac-8 Conference victory at North Hollywood.

Highland 2, Lancaster 0--Rafael Garcia scored his 18th goal and Alan Fiedler had his third goal and 12th assist for the Bulldogs (9-3-3, 1-0-1) in a Golden League game at Highland.

St. Francis 10, Alemany 0--Ryan Shaw scored three goals for the Golden Knights (10-3-4, 3-0-1) in a Mission League game at Alemany.

Shaw has 13 goals this season, 11 in his last eight games.

Notre Dame 3, Chaminade 1--Kevin Murray collected a goal and an assist, and the Knights (7-4, 2-2) won a Mission League game at Notre Dame.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

Chatsworth 1, El Camino Real 0--Jackie Fodor scored her 17th goal midway through the first half on an assist from Leila Pate and the Chancellors (12-2-1, 2-0) defeated the Conquistadores (7-2-1, 1-1) in a Coast/Valley League game at El Camino Real.

“They knew they’d been in a game,” said Jim Shelburne, El Camino Real coach. “Our girls are foaming at the mouth to get over there and play them again.”

Chatsworth has never lost a league game in the program’s 11-year history and has won eight City titles.

Royal 2, Newbury Park 1--Christine Verano scored her fourth goal on an assist from Rebecca Plummer with five minutes to play and the Highlanders (8-6-1, 3-1) won a Marmonte League game at Newbury Park.

Oak Park 2, La Reina 1--Rebecca Carroll, a senior forward, scored her sixth goal of the season and the 76th of her career for the Eagles (5-8) in a Tri-Valley League opener at Oak Park.

La Reina (6-5) trailed, 2-0, at halftime before getting a goal by Kim Albert.

GIRLS’ WATER POLO

Agoura 9, Newbury Park 4-- Erika Clark scored three goals in the first two minutes and the Chargers (12-2, 3-0) beat Newbury Park (8-4, 1-2) in a Marmonte League game at Newbury Park.
