Brush Fire Burns 50 Acres
VAL VERDE — A brush fire scorched 50 acres Saturday near Del Valle and Hasley Canyon roads, authorities said. There were no injuries or property damage reported.
The fire broke out about 12:38 p.m. in a two-acre section of an open field and quickly consumed 50 acres, said Christa Tolliver , a dispatcher for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Firefighters fought the flames for about an hour, bringing the blaze under control at 1:21 p.m., Tolliver said.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation late Saturday.
