Placentia-Yorba Linda School District Supt. James O. Fleming said he is still waiting for Placentia city officials to contact the district to discuss the possibility of building an elementary school in the southwest part of the city. “I think it is important to have a good relationship with the city,” he said. “I wasn’t really appreciative about some of the remarks that were made at the City Council.”

Mayor Constance Underhill said at a recent council meeting that the proposed site was not a good choice, but school officials said the school would ease overcrowding at neighboring schools.
