Ron Ponciano, football coach at Cal State Northridge, said he will meet Friday with school administrators to answer allegations of NCAA rules violations by the Matador program, which has been the subject of a six-week internal investigation.
Ponciano said he intends to have legal representation during the meeting. He said he is uncertain whether his job is in jeopardy.
Northridge launched the inquiry after the athletic department received an anonymous letter May 19 alleging numerous violations. Ponciano said he has not been informed of the allegations.
"I want to see that anonymous letter," Ponciano said. "I hope to answer the allegations. I have an idea what they are because of the first time I was interviewed."
