Lancaster Makes It Two in a Row, 10-9

Lancaster scored four runs in the seventh inning and three more in the eighth Friday night to erase an 8-3 deficit and defeat the Lake Elsinore Storm, 10-9, before 4,453 at the Hangar.

Cirilo Cruz, who homered, and Mike Marchiano each drove in two runs for the JetHawks (22-46), who won for the second consecutive game after breaking a 12-game losing streak.

Justin Kaye pitched the ninth inning for his eighth save. Donnie Schmidt (1-2) pitched two innings of scoreless relief to earn the victory.

The Storm (29-39) committed five errors, including two in the eighth inning.

AROUND THE LEAGUES

The California League is on all-star break Monday through Wednesday, with an all-star game set for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday against Carolina League all-stars at Lake Elsinore.

Three JetHawks have been selected to play in the game. Catcher Greg Connors will start, while pitcher Brandon Parker and Kaye will work out of the bullpen.

Class A--Frederick (Orioles) right-hander Sean Douglass (Antelope Valley) improved to 2-0, defeating Potomac, 2-1. He allowed four hits, struck out four and walked none in seven innings. . . .
