El Dorado High School senior Allison Kurvers is the winner of the Chamber of Commerce’s Janet Evans Scholarship Award. Evans was an Olympic gold medalist in swimming. Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District Supt. James O. Fleming will present Allison with the award later this month at a Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting. Allison will attend San Jose State University, where she will major in Spanish. She was selected for the honor for her excellence in scholarship and her contributions to the community.
