Ventura Hires Basketball Coach

Greg Winslow was chosen Tuesday to become men’s basketball coach at Ventura College.

Winslow has been the coach at San Bernardino Valley College for two seasons.

Ventura won state championships in 1995 and 1996, but a series of violations caused the program to be disbanded the last two seasons.

“[Winslow’s] skills as a coach, his aspirations for our program and his charismatic approach in working with our faculty and community will, over time, allow Ventura basketball to be successful again,” said Dick James, Ventura athletic director.
