No Defense for Alemany, 49-34

Quarterback Adam Ernst threw four touchdown passes and rushed for two more to lead Servite High to a 49-34 victory over previously undefeated Alemany in a nonleague game Friday night at Cal State Fullerton.

Ernst outplayed Casey Clausen by completing 14 of 20 passes for 309 yards.

Ernst scored on a one-yard run and threw touchdown passes of 15 and 36 yards to Bystedt to help the Friars (4-2) build a 27-22 halftime lead.

Justin Domineck scored Servite’s other first-half touchdown on a 10-yard run.

Bystedt later added a 42-yard touchdown catch and finished with 93 yards on three catches.

The Indians (5-1), ranked No. 1 in the Valley region by The Times, tried to keep pace by getting the ball in the hands of running back DeAndre Scott.

Scott caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from Casey Clausen and scored on a two-yard run, but was limited to 43 yards in 14 carries.

Clausen completed 11 of 24 passes for 223 yards, throwing a 39-yard touchdown pass to Lanard Heath and a 21-yard touchdown pass to Derek Goodman.

Goodman caught five passes for 125 yards and scored a touchdown on a 95-yard kickoff return.

Clausen’s scoring pass to Heath gave the Indians a 28-27 lead in the third quarter but Servite took command on a two-yard touchdown run by Ernst and a 59-yard touchdown pass play from Ernst to Brendan Hopkins, who caught three passes for 120 yards.

Lamar Mason of Servite rushed for 119 yards in 15 carries.

Garret Marxen of Alemany kicked a 37-yard field goal on the last play of the first half after lineman Nick Keleshin ran 37 yards on a fumblerooski.
