OUTLOOK
Corona del Mar moves over from the more competitive Sea View League, but Freeman doesn’t expect a letdown among his players. Fenton anchors the offensive line and hopes to play for an Ivy League school next season. Freeman said Wald has finally figured out what 350 pounds can do for an offensive lineman, and Kurtz is the only three-year starter on the team. Estabrook played some tailback last season and has improved his speed and strength in the off-season. Hayes is a great athlete who catches the ball well for a fullback and might also return punts. Bottom adds leadership to the defense, and Beser also returns at defensive back. Cooper is one of the stronger players on the team and adds good run support from the strong safety position.
