Coach Eric Johnson makes his Fountain Valley debut after being defensive coordinator at Mater Dei for 10 seasons. Linemen Steven Fifita (6-0, 240) and Bernard Fano (6-2, 250) anchor the revamped defense, which will have its hands full with the Dolphins’ grind-it-out offense. The Dana Hills defense gave up nearly 28 points a game last season and the Dolphins, with only one starter returning on offense, might have trouble staying close if the defense allows that much tonight. Lineman Tom Kazarian (6-3, 265) anchors both lines and quarterback Joe Murray had several spot starts last season.
