Canyons’ last score came on a six-yard pass from Chris Kobe to Mark Hamilton with four seconds left.

“I think Mike [Frost] did a great job,” Glendale Coach John Cicuto said. “He took what they gave him.”

Canyons (2-1, 0-1), ranked 17th in the state, committed six turnovers.

Defensive back Ryan Walters recovered three fumbles for Glendale.

“Glendale didn’t beat us,” Coach Chuck Lyon said. “We beat us. We’re supposed to lose with six turnovers.”

Kobe completed 20 of 34 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns with three interceptions.

Kobe rejoined the team on Monday after leaving at the start of fall practice. The sophomore was making his first start in place of Travis Winn, who suffered a shoulder injury against Antelope Valley last week and did not play on Saturday.

Sean Standley had five catches for 37 yards for Glendale.
