Concordia Slams Chapman, 22-6

The first three batters in Concordia’s lineup were a combined nine of 18, with two grand slams, a double, 15 runs batted in and eight runs scored as the Eagles defeated Chapman, 22-6, in baseball Wednesday at Hart Park.
Charles Chatman had three hits, four RBIs and scored three runs for Concordia (25-16). Rick Stockton had three hits, including a grand slam, five RBIs and four runs scored, and Derek Patterson hit a grand slam, a double, a single, drove in six runs and scored a run.
Concordia led only, 3-1, after three innings, but scored at least two runs in five of the next six innings.
Eric Albright drove in three runs for Chapman (18-8-1).
In Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s volleyball:
Pepperdine 3, UC Irvine 0--Ty Loomis had nine kills and Josh Richardson had seven kills and three blocks in the 15-7, 15-9, 15-4 loss for Irvine (10-16, 4-14).
