COLLEGE ROUNDUP
Cal State Northridge def. Stanford 15-9, 15-13, 13-15, 15-10--J.P. Jandreau had 19 kills for the Matadors in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation victory at Northridge.
Adam Black added 18 kills and Junior Mosones had 17 for Northridge.
In the deciding game, the Matadors (12-14, 7-12) killed 46% of its hits, and had a 35% kill average for the match.
Marcus Skacel had 25 kills for Stanford (10-11, 9-9).
COLLEGE BASEBALL
Cal Lutheran 10, Whittier 1--Tom Canale pitched a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts and the Kingsmen won a Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game at Whittier.
Canale (8-0) allowed an unearned run in the eighth inning.
He struck out two batters in the first, second, sixth, eighth and ninth.
Jeff Meyers and Mark Torrey each had three hits and drove in a run, and Eric Medina had two hits and three RBIs to lead a 20-hit attack for Cal Lutheran (19-6-2, 13-1).
Six other players also had at least two hits.
San Francisco 6, Pepperdine 1--Dane Sardinha hit his 10th home run for the Waves in a West Coast Conference loss at San Francisco.
USF is 23-15, 8-0 in WCC play, while Pepperdine is 23-17, 11-4.
MEN’S SWIMMING
Valley 69, Citrus 42--Michael Do won the 1000 freestyle and the 200 backstroke for the Monarchs (4-3, 4-3) in a Western State Conference victory at Valley.
