* Aaron Arnold, Cal State Northridge’s all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards, is expected to sign as a free agent with the Tennessee Titans.

Arnold, a two-time All-Big Sky Conference receiver, had 195 receptions for 2,660 yards in four seasons at Northridge. He is the Matadors’ career leader with 26 touchdown catches.

The Titans did not draft any wide receivers, but Arnold is among five free agents who will report to camp.

The others are Chris Coleman of North Carolina State, Gerald Harris of Washington, Mike Scarborough of Texas Christian and Len Ware of Nevada Las Vegas.

“My agent had been on the horn with them and they decided to pick me up,” said Arnold, who is scheduled to report in June.

“Going in, I plan to do very well. I plan to definitely make the squad.”

* Linebacker Brennen Swanson of Northridge, an All-Big Sky selection last season, is expected to sign as a free agent with the San Francisco 49ers, Coach Jeff Kearin of Northridge said.

SOCCER

* The Valley United Stars under-14 girls’ team won the State Cup title on Sunday with a 2-1 overtime victory over MSC Hawks of Murrieta.

Krystal Bernal of Kennedy High scored both goals.

The Stars won eight games in the four-weekend, 64-team tournament, seven of the victories coming by one goal.

Valley United defeated the CC Condors, 2-1, in the semifinals on Saturday, on goals by Heather Goldman of Calabasas and Brooke Albert of Simi Valley.

The first-year team is coached by Mike Evans of Chaminade High.

* Marwan Ass’ad, former coach at Cal State Northridge, is holding a camp open to players of all ages from 9 a.m.-noon April 24-28 at Pierce College. Cost is $20 per day.

TENNIS

* Twins Bob and Mike Bryan, who won the 1998 NCAA doubles championship while playing for Stanford, will be on the “Dave and Bob Show” at 8:15 a.m. today on KTVA-AM 1520.

The residents of Camarillo, who have been ranked as high as No. 9 in the world in doubles on the ATP Tour, are promoting a charity event this weekend for WeCANN, which helps abused children in Ventura County.

The Bryans will hold a doubles exhibition at 1 p.m. at Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo.

Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for children.

Tickets will be available at the club on Saturday.

GOLF

* The Valley Youth Conference charity golf tournament is scheduled for June 19 at Braemar Country Club in Tarzana.

Coach Jeff Fisher of the Tennessee Titans is the honorary chairman of the event.

Cost is $190 and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.
