In the Brea Olinda Ladycat Classic:

No. 2 Brea Olinda 54, Redondo Beach Redondo Union 46--Sophomore Jennifer Katsuyama scored 15 points and freshman Jennifer Noyes had 12 for Brea Olinda (3-1) in the third-place game. Redondo defeated Brea in last season’s section final, ending the Ladycats’ streak of 11 titles in a row.

No. 8 Irvine 72, Chino Hills Ayala 66--Kristin Thawley had 21 points and 11 rebounds. Jody Carlson had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Vaqueros (3-2).

Palos Verdes Estates Rolling Hills Prep 75, Capistrano Valley Christian 40--Bethany Thom had 17 points and four steals in the championship game for Capistrano Valley Christian (8-1).

In the Fountain Valley Lady Baron tournament:

No. 6 Woodbridge 61, Mater Dei 24--Lara Gray scored 14 points, Alia Stewart had 12 and Lauren Stepanski added 11 as the Warriors (8-0) won the title. Jessica Williams scored a team-high seven for Mater Dei (4-4).

In the San Diego Francis Parker tournament:

La Jolla Country Day 72, Aliso Niguel 30--Candace Wiggins scored 26 points for Country Day in the championship. Julia Pederson led Aliso Niguel (6-1) with 11 points.
