The top-ranked player on the top team in the county, Won averaged 37.4 during the regular season and broke par four times. She won her third consecutive Pacific Coast League title and averaged 75.75 in the postseason, including a 75 in the Southern Section team finals at Montecito Country Club on a day when the Trojans won the title by 14 shots.

Tim O’Hara

SANTA MARGARITA COACH

*--*

While most county top-10 teams featured nationally-ranked players and regulars on the junior golf circuit, the Eagles did not. Still, O’Hara squeezed a Serra League championship and a runner-up finish in the South Divisional tournament out of his team. He battled a nonchalant attitude among his players at times, but had them ready for big matches.
